Essay of education

What do you think about the Government’s plan to introduce laptops in classrooms?

Our education exactly starts at the moment in which we are born. From this moment we have got a great responsibility to make learn during our lifetime. But obviously teachers and Government also have some responsibility on children’s education.

Introducing new technologies is a good way to improve education because, as we know, innovation is one of the bests ways of doing well education. That’s why the Government wants to introduce laptops in classrooms as a small step to achieve a better education.

There are some advantages and disadvantages of using ICT in classrooms:

On the one hand there are some disadvantages to consider. First of all, the lack of knowledge of how to use ICT tools. Secondly, the substitution of the text books. Text books are better than ICT for children to read. Thirdly, the high price of repairing computers. And finally, we should also have to consider that not all the reformation found on the web is correct.

On the other hand the advantages are that the information can be found more easily on the Net and quicker. Besides you can find a lot of examples in the Net more easily than on books. Possibly having a laptop in the classroom could help taking notes or learn to write.

So the Government’s plan can help in education or can keep things the same. The differences of those reactions to the plan are in the use of new technologies. Surely if we use them correctly we will get the results that we are waiting for.

In my opinion and as a way of concluding the text the Government’s plan could be a good idea but it’s a better idea to mix both tools and use ICT and traditional text books too. In that way we can innovate and keep things that were already ok before.
